NATALY TAVOR

Head of Strategy and BD

General Partner, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Affairs, and member of the Investment Committee.
 

Nataly has over 20 years of experience in managing large budgets, raising capital and promoting R&D projects and developments. Natalie is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Reserve of the Israel Defense Forces. During her army service, she held senior positions in the Defense Research and Development Directorate, a joint body of the Israel Ministry of Defense and the Israel Defense Forces dedicated to promoting R&D projects and innovations for the defense community. Among other things, Nataly was responsible for strategic budget planning and contracting for the Ministry of Defense.


In 2013, Nataly was appointed as the DOD representative in Washington, D.C. for cooperation with the U.S. Department of Defense on joint U.S.-Israeli missile defense programs. Nataly also worked with Congress, the White House, AIPAC, and the defense industry to push for resources for Project Iron Dome and other joint programs, along with the Israeli Ambassador to the United States and the Department of Foreign Affairs.


Prior to her retirement, Nataly was head of Planning and Economics at the Defense Research and Development Agency in the Department of Defense, where she was responsible for strategic planning of the R&D budget and planning and oversight of innovative programs in areas such as AI, robotics, cybersecurity, etc. Natalie and her colleagues were awarded the Israel Security Prize for their contribution to national security.


Nataly is currently engaged in business development and strategic issues at SmartGen, an investment advisory firm that also specializes in investments and family office management for high net worth individuals and families.

Education: B.A. in Economics and Management (Technion - Israeli Polytechnic Institute), M.B.A. (Tel Aviv University).
